The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released 279 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results that were previously withheld for further investigation.

The newly released results are in addition to those earlier made available by the examination body.

JAMB disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday, explaining that the decision followed ongoing investigations into cases of suspected examination malpractice during the 2026 UTME exercise.

According to the Board, some results were cancelled after investigations confirmed candidatesโ€™ involvement in examination malpractice, while others were released after no prima facie evidence was established against the affected candidates.

The Board further stated that results from examination centres flagged by its live monitoring team for suspicious activities, as well as centres linked to adverse reports, will remain withheld pending the conclusion of investigations.

It added that any candidate found culpable after the investigations would have their results cancelled.

JAMB advised candidates whose results are yet to be released to check their status by sending โ€œUTMERESULTโ€ via SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during registration.

The Board noted that candidates can use the service to confirm whether their results have been released or are still under review.
