President Bola Tinubu has pledged to support Gov. Hope Uzodinma of Imo State to ensure rapid development and economic sustainability of the state.
The president pledged while speaking at the second term inauguration ceremony of the governor, in Owerri, on Monday.
Tinubu described Uzodinma as a hardworking and industrious leader whose antecedents resonate with the progressive agenda of his renewed Hope administration.
He promised to work collaboratively with the government of Imo state to ensure that the people benefit tremendously from the dividends of democracy.
He further assured Imo people and Nigerians in general that the current pains associated with the removal of fuel subsidies are at best temporary and urged the people to keep hope alive.
He also promised substantial development in the areas of education, industrialization, and healthcare delivery.
โWe are working assiduously to bring back the glory days of Imo and Nigeria at large through holistic investments in infrastructure, education, and the healthcare sector.
โI assure you that you have got a good, dependable, hardworking democrat as governor, who would both think and do the needful โ, he said.
Earlier in an acceptance speech, the governor who had just been sworn in, thanked the president and his entourage for finding time to identify with Imo people.
He thanked the people for their massive support as evidenced in their votes cast for him in the November 11 governorship election.
He promised to justify the confidence reposed in him by consolidating his achievements and taking the state to the next level.
