Man City beat Luton 2-1 to close gap on Liverpool in EPL title race

Manchester City winning against Luton reduced the seven point gap between City and Liverpool to four points to strengthen their bid for an unprecedented fourth successive top-flight title.

Pep Guardiola’s side were in danger of falling out of the title race after their lethargic 1-0 defeat at Aston Villa on Wednesday, which followed draws with Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham.

City responded to Elijah Adebayo’s first half goal with two goals in three minutes in the second half to end their four-match winless run in the Premier League.

Thanks to Bernardo Silva equalizer and Jack Grealish’s winning goal that gave City 2:1 victory, the first in five league matches.
