Imo lawmaker hails Uzodimma

Chisom Ojukwu, the newly elected representative for the Nkwerre constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, expressed his recommendation on Wednesday that President Bola Tinubu should seek guidance from Governor Hope Uzodimma regarding matters concerning the South-East sub-region.

In a statement released on Thursday, the lawmaker praised Uzodimma for his efforts in “promoting the development of the South-Eastern region.”

Ojukwu also acknowledged the governor’s role in ensuring that the South-East is properly represented in national politics.

The statement read, “Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has long been at the forefront of advocating for the rightful place of the South-East in Nigerian politics. He has strategically brought resources together to think innovatively about potential solutions to the longstanding issues affecting the southeastern states.”

“His unwavering commitment to the development of the South-East has resulted in the timely completion of the Second Niger Bridge. Additionally, his innovative approach to addressing the problem has significantly reduced insecurity in the region,” the statement continued.

According to the lawmaker’s statement, Uzodimma was also commended for successfully persuading the members of the National Assembly from the South-East region to endorse Godswill Akpabio as the Senate President and Tajudeen Abass as the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
