In a recent interview with News Central Africa, former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, stated that he would not hesitate to voice his concerns and criticize President Bola Tinubu if he fails to fulfill his responsibilities to the country. Fayose made this assertion during a snippet of the interview that was shared online.

Reflecting on his political experiences within both the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Fayose emphasized that he sees no significant difference between the two parties. He noted that he has already had his fair share in life and is not desperate for any position from Tinubu. Fayose made it clear that if the former governor of Lagos State engages in any wrongdoing, he will be the first to openly express his views on the matter.

Fayose also recalled how he openly criticized the previous administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. Furthermore, he disclosed the specific hospital in the UK where the president sought medical treatment, showcasing his willingness to speak out without hesitation.

The former governor stressed that Nigeria is larger than any individual, including Tinubu, and that Tinubu’s position as a former governor and political figure does not grant him the authority to act as a dictator. Fayose firmly believes in holding leaders accountable and will not shy away from raising concerns if Tinubu deviates from the right path.

With his determination to speak up against any perceived wrongdoing, Fayose intends to ensure that the country’s interests are prioritized above personal or political affiliations.
