The Super Eagles in preparation for Wednesday’s clash with South Africa in the Semi-final of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) travel to Bouaka on Monday.
The missing of the Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen from the Squad in Bouake due to abdominal discomfort raises concerns.
The Super Eagles are going to play South Africa on Wednesday in the Semi-final of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote dโIvoire.
The Napoli striker was left behind in Abidjan where medics are battling to ensure that he is fit to travel on Tuesday to meet the other teammates.
However, the rest of the team arrived at Bouake around 10 pm through Air Cote dโIvoire.
The Super Eagles in a tweet on X said โMembers of the team traveled from Abidjan to Bouakรฉ today via a 10 pm Air Cote DโIvoire flight. Osimhen did not however make the trip as a result of abdominal discomfort.
โTeam medics confirmed that he has been placed under close watch with a member of the medical team staying behind in Abidjan with him. If cleared by tomorrow morning, he will join the rest of the squad before 5 pm.โ
The Nigerian striker, though. has scored one goal since the start of the tournament, he has been a thorn in the flesh of the opposition.
