The Corps Marshal of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC), Dauda Ali Biu, the Corps Marshal of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC), has ordered an immediate crackdown on all rickety vehicles operating across the country.

This order comes in response to a trending video showing an old vehicle with mechanical issues navigating the expressway with one of its back tires missing.

Bisi Kazeem, the corps’ public enlightenment officer, issued a statement stating that the FRSC boss has directed an immediate clampdown on the vehicle and the arrest of its owner.

According to the statement, the vehicle, registered with Lagos number plate AA07AG, was not only old but was also using the highway with just three worn-out tires.

Biu has instructed the agency’s personnel to be vigilant and actively search for the car and other unstable vehicles traveling on major roads in Nigeria. He emphasized that this operation will take place nationwide.

Biu stated that the FRSC will impose severe punishments on the owner of the vehicle and individuals who continue to use such hazardous vehicles.
