Polytechnic of Ibadan appoints new acting Registrar, Bursar

The Oyo State Government has announced the appointment of Mr. Adewunmi Ogunjimi as Acting Registrar and Mr. David Taiwo as Acting Bursar of The Polytechnic, Ibadan.

The appointment letters, dated 8th April, conveying the approval of the Oyo Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology on behalf of the State Government, were signed by the Acting Rector of the Institution, Dr. Taiwo Lasisi.

Mr. Adewunmi Ogunjimi, a seasoned Administrator, previously served as the Deputy Registrar of the Directorate of Academic Affairs at The Polytechnic.

He holds a B.Sc degree in Psychology from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) and an MSc in Industrial Psychology from the University of Ibadan.

With a career spanning several decades, Mr. Ogunjimi has held various positions of responsibility within the institution, showcasing his administrative prowess and dedication to service.

On the other hand, Mr. David Taiwo, the new Acting Bursar, brings a wealth of experience to his role. Prior to his appointment, he served as a Chief Accountant at The Polytechnic, Ibadan, having joined the institution in March 1994 as an Accountant II.

Mr. Taiwo holds HND, B.Sc, and MSc degrees in Accounting and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCE).

Throughout his tenure, he has held key positions within the Bursary Department, demonstrating his expertise in financial management and accountability.

Both Mr. Ogunjimi and Mr. Taiwo are esteemed professionals with commendable track records within The Polytechnic, Ibadan.

Their appointments signify a commitment to excellence and effective leadership within the institution, ensuring continuity and progress in its academic and administrative functions.
