A non-government organization in Osun State, Brighter Future Initiatives for Women and Children (BFI) has donated money to some widows and persons with disabilities to alleviate their suffering.
The Founder of the NGO, Mrs Adeniji Esther Bosede said BFI was created to help the indigent people most especially Women and Children.
Each of the beneficiaries received 5,000 in commemoration the of birthday of a philanthropist, Mrs Adeola Ajoke Aderibigbe.
Adeniji said โAderibigbe wanted to
extend hands of love to widows. so she decided to give a token out to these widows to remind people to have the feelings of giving to others no matter how small it is.”
โSo, she contracted it to Brighter Future Initiatives for Women and Children (BFI) so that it can reach the targeted people”, she added.
Widows and persons with disabilities from different local governments in Osun State were selected as beneficiaries with the support of other NGOs that deal with women’s affairs.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs Oluwakemi Alonge expressed gratitude to the donor and the founder of the NGO for the intervention.
Also, another beneficiary, Mrs Latifat Babalola who spoke on behalf of persons with disabilities implored wealthy people in the society to always assist widows and persons with disabilities.
