Vice President Kashim Shettima has assured that President Bola Tinubu is committed to promoting girl-child education in the country.
He said this at a dinner in Abuja for the Children of African Leadership and Values Development Initiatives, CALDEV.
Shettima also stressed that “educating a girl child means educating the nation”.
He praised the organizers of the children’s initiative for their efforts to develop energetic and quality leaders who will lead the country in the future.
The Vice President stated that Nigeria has more characteristics that build and bond people together than those that divide them.
He also took advantage of the occasion to encourage citizens to have faith in the government, stating that steps have been taken to make Nigeria a better place.
Shettima told Nigerian children that they will have several opportunities to excel anywhere in the world.
He also restated the Federal Government’s commitment to the health and well-being of all Nigerian children, noting that education is crucial for nation-building.
