Shubomi, the sister to controversial singer Azeez Fashola, known as Naira Marley in an Instagram post on Saturday has cried out over her brother’s detainment, which she described as a violation of her brotherโs human rights.
Recall that a Magistrate Court remanded Naira Marley and associate Sam Larry in police custody pending the completion of the investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbadโs death as netizens continued to seek justice for the late singer, MohBad.
Shubomi stated that there is no evidence proving her brotherโs involvement in Mohbadโs death and his continuous detention is mainly to appease the public which is not supposed to.
.
She urges the court to charge him If there is any evidence against him concerning Mohbad’s death and he should be released if otherwise.
Shubomi added that detaining her brother this long without evidence violates his human rights.
She wrote, โKeeping someone who willingly travelled back to help in detention for nearly 30 days, with no charge, no evidence, no sufficient witness is a violation of his human rights. Keeping him in custody to appease social media and the internet mob is crazy.
โIf you have evidence against him for anything heโs been accused of, charge him! But if you donโt release him. It shouldnโt take this long for the investigation to be done.
โWe all want the truth! We all want justice. What is the delay? Weโve already lost one person, trying to lynch another is not going to bring about justice.โ
