The King of Morocco, Mohammed VI, announced that the nation would spend $11.6 million (120 billion dirhams) to rebuild parts of the country hit by the earthquake.
The strongest recorded in the North African country in more than 60 years which killed more than 2900 people and injured over 5000.
He said this on Wednesday adding that 120 billion dirhams will be used to support more than 4.2 million people affected by the disaster.
According to him, “the funds would be used to rehouse affected people, reconstruct homes and restore infrastructure over a five-year period.”
