The Republic of Ireland’s World Cup campaign came to an end as they played out a goalless draw against the Nigeria Super Falcons.
This draw secured Nigeria’s second-place finish in Group B, with co-hosts Australia claiming the top spot after defeating Canada 4-0.
Both Nigeria and Australia have qualified for the Round of 16. While Ireland had already been eliminated after losses to Australia and Canada, they managed to secure their first point in the tournament with the draw against Nigeria in their final match.
