One Ayobami Oyeleye, a 30-year-old man has butchered his mum mercilessly with a matchet in Ogun state, cutting off her two hands and inflicting a very deep cut on her forehead, arm and legs.
SP Omolola Odutola, Ogun Police Spokesperson, confirmed the incident, saying the suspect had been arrested and investigation in to the matter commenced.
It was gathered that Oyeleye attacked his 65-year-old mother, Esther, on Tuesday, over an unknown argument in Akibovillage, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of the state.
In a video showing the motionless woman being cleaned by a nurse in the hospital, she was lying on the be covered up in blood with different deep cuts on her body, a very gory sight to behold.
According to reports, noise emanating from the victim’s house in the night forced her neighbours to storm out of their houses to find out what was happening.
The neighbours on getting to the house found Esther lying in a pool of blood, with her left and right hands cut off and a deep stab to her head, while Ayobami was seen standing beside his mother, holding a sharp cutlass.
“With a sharp cutlass in his hand, he severed both hands of his mother and caused another deep injury to her head and legs. We have taken the mother to the hospital for treatment,” the source said
The poor woman’s chances of surviving the terrible attack from her son is really slim according to her neighbours, as they cursed the suspect for being so cruel to his biological mother.
