Palliative: Gov Sani reduction tertiary institutions fees in Kaduna

The Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, on Monday, announced the reduction of school fees of tertiary institutions in the state.

IdanNews reported that Sani disclosed this in a statement released on his verified Twitter (X) handle, he said the decision to approve the downward review is in response to the public outcry over the current fees being charged by tertiary institutions.

Sani noted that the review aligns with his government’s commitment to offering palliatives to cushion the effect of the general rising cost of living due to subsidy removal in Nigeria.

He said his administration would continue to take all measures necessary to ensure access to free and qualitative education for every child in Kaduna State, from primary to secondary school.

Also, to expand access to higher education; enhance teachers’ welfare and teaching standards, improve school infrastructure, and build ICT competence in students from the basic education level.
