NSIB start investigation on Minister of Power jet crash-landing incident

The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has commenced an investigation into a crash-landing incident involving A HS25 aircraft operated by Flint Aero at Ibadan airport, Oyo state.

Recall that the jet that conveyed Minister for Power, Adebayo Adelabu and his entourage on Friday, 3rd of November, 2023 crash-landed on arriving at Ibadan.

In a statement by NSIB Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Dr James Odaudu, said the cause of the incident is not yet clear. Noted that “our investigators are on site, and further information will be provided as soon as possible.”

“The Minister departed Abuja on Friday, 3rd of November, 2023 with the jet operated by Flint Aero only to crash-land on arriving in Ibadan.

IdanNews gathered that about 10 passengers and 3 crew members were aboard the aircraft.

“Aircraft was airborne Abuja at 1841 and crashed into the bush short of the Runway at about 1921utc. No fatalities but the aircraft sustained substantial damage.”
