NSCDC arrests 76 suspects for holding homosexual wedding in Gombe

The Gombe State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested at least 76 suspects in connection with their alleged involvement in organizing a same-sex wedding event.

NSCDC spokesperson, Buhari Sa’ad, while parading the suspects at NSCDC command’s headquarters in Gombe said they were arrested at Duwa Plaza along the Bauchi-Gombe express-way during a raid that disrupted their homosexual event.

According to Sa’ad, 21 of the arrested suspects confessed to being homosexual. Added that they will be charged in court as their crime is against the law of Gombe State.

“They were arrested at Duwa Plaza along Bauchi-Gombe Expressway while holding a homosexual birthday, and they had plans to hold a same-sex wedding before our men raided the scene,” he stated.

Sa’ad said further: “Fifty-nine males were arrested, 21 willfully confessed to being homosexuals, and 17 females present at the scene were also picked up. They will be charged to court to answer for their crime, which is a social vice; a crime in Gombe State.”
