Reno explains why Tinubu’s CSU certificate looks different from others
Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has called out the people he claimed “have been boasting of disgracing” him over the Chicago State University matter.
Reno’s reaction follows the release of the academic records of Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by Chicago State University (CSU) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, based on the directive of an American court on Monday.
Reno in his X (Twitter) handle noted he had earlier affirmed that President Tinubu admitted, attended and graduated from Chicago State University, based on the fact he gathered from the school, which some people turned to fight against him and claimed to disgrace him when the university release authentic academic records.
He said the release of the authentic academic records of Tinubu by CSU has proven his claim that the President attended the institution. He then urged those who wanted to disgrace him to come out now as he continued to drag them on a series of his Tuesday tweets.
Former President Goodluck aids also illustrates why President Tinubu’s CSU certificate might be looking different from other’s certificates.
He used his primary school certificate as an example, that in 1983, he attended an Elementary School in Albany, California, outside the University of California, Berkeley. Said “My parents have died” and the whereabouts of his record from that school was with them, and he was just nine years old at that time, “so I have no proof that I attended beyond photographs” but there are academic records and “I can pay commercial third-party sites to verify those records and issue me a ceremonial certificate.”
Reno’s tweet reads, “Chicago State University released documents validating Bola Tinubu’s academic records. They did that under the penalty of perjury. It is now established beyond the shadow of a doubt that I was right, and AriseTV repotted lies to Nigerians passed off as truth. I am never for Bola Tinubu, but I will not lie and say that he did not attend a university I know he attended.
“But you may ask, why is his Chicago State University diploma looking different from others?
“Nigerians may recall that on Friday, June 24, 2022, Bola Tinubu said all his academic certificates, including and especially his certificate from the University of Chicago, were stolen when unknown persons sent by the Abacha administration raided his house while he was away on exile in Europe and America.
“This was published by all major newspapers in Nigeria the next day. In an affidavit, Bola Tinubu said that he:
‘Went on self-exile from October 1994 to October 1998, when I returned and discovered that my property including all the documents relating to my qualification and my certificates in respect of paragraph 3 above, were looted by unknown persons’ Reno quoted Tinubu.
“When you lose your original certificate, you can get a ceremonial replacement certificate from any number of third-party commercial vendors who will issue it to you after verifying from the original institution that you attended their school.
“If you studied in the United States and want a replacement certificate, just Google these words ‘how to get a ceremonial replacement certificate.

In his earlier tweet, he wrote: “I wonder why those who have been boasting for days that they will disgrace me over the Chicago State University matter are not anywhere. I am here. Mi o sa. Come and disgrace me.
“I don’t know what secondary or primary school President Bola Tinubu went to, but I can swear on oath that I went to Chicago State University, and Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the male person currently occupying the position of President of Nigeria, was admitted, attended and graduated from Chicago State University.
“I went there. I have documentary, photographic, and historical evidence. Those people who want to disgrace me never went. They sat down in Nigeria. Now, they are suddenly and loudly quiet
“Shebi, the documents have been released by @ChicagoState University? I am begging them to disgrace me. And if I collected money from Tinubu, may all those who accuse me get wealthy from my hard work. But if they have falsely accused me, then may I prosper when they work hard in perpetuity.
