Suspected bandits reportedly burnt down the parish house of Saint Raphael’s Catholic Church in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing a seminarian, Stephen Danlami, in the process.

IdanNews gathered that the bandits, who came in large numbers, stormed the parish located at Fadan Kamantan, Kafanchan Diocese, on Thursday night.

The bandits then set the building ablaze alongside a vehicle parked on the premises.

It was learnt that the late Seminarian died from the smoke he inhaled while trying to escape from the fire.

Other priests inside the parish house were said to have escaped during the attack.

However, Kaduna Police Command and the Catholic Church in the state are yet to make a statement following the attack on the church and the death of the Seminarian.
