Attacks On Kogi Poly Students: Gov Ododo orders immediate investigation to unravel unrest

Kogi State Governor Ododo Usman has frowned at the incessant terror attacks on Kogi State Polytechnic students in Lokoja.

Governor Ododo through his Special Adviser on Youth and Students Matters (SA) Oladele John Nihi, who had earlier met with the student delegates from the institution, National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS), and the Association of Nigerian Female Students (ANFS) to brief him on the incessant attacks daily launched on students in felele, Lokoja, by thugs and cultists.

Receiving, the delegations of the students union, Nihi, conveyed His Excellency’s stern warning message on the recent attacks on her students in Felele, Lokoja Kogi state.

The Special Adviser to the Governor, in a statement, stated that Gov Ododo’s administration will work his tail off to clamp down on insecurity in the state.

His words, “His Excellency Gov. Ododo upon receiving the attacks on students vehemently condemned the attacks and has directed the immediate formation of a fact-finding committee comprising relevant authorities and security agencies to thoroughly investigate what led to the attack and bring the perpetrators to book, this he said to swiftly identify those responsible and put an immediate and a lasting end to these distressing incidents.”

Speaking further, The SA urged an immediate cessation and retreat to those behind the incessant acts of terror and warned that there would be no leniency for anyone caught, as the Governor Ododo government had zero tolerance for insecurity in the state. And to our dear students, you are not alone, The Governor is deeply committed to the safety and well-being of every student in the state, be rest assured that we will utilize all necessary resources to apprehend the perpetrators, and the state government will ensure the culprits will face the full wrath of the extant law and guarantee your continued safety”, He assured.
