Aruna retains table tennis African Championships title

Nigeria’s table tennis star Quadri Aruna has retained his men’s singles title after beating Egypt’s Ahmed Saleh on Sunday, September 17, in the final of the 26th ITTF African Championships in Rades, Tunis, the Tunisia capital.

According to BSNSports.com.ng reports, The win was a big consolation for Nigerian International after losing a team game to Egypt.

Earlier in the game, Aruna walloped his compatriots Omotayo Olajide 4-0 (12-10, 11-6, 11-9, 11-2) to set up a clash with Egypt’s Ahmed Saleh.

The breakdown shows a total domination of the Nigerian star (11-2, 12-10, 11-6, 11-6) and with the victory, With the result, Aruna has successfully defended his African Senior Championship title.
