Adelabu officially defects to APC, Dumps Accord Party

Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu will today officially announce his return to the All Progressive Congress (APC)

The official ceremony of his return to the All Progressives Congress will take place at the APC secretariat In Oke-Ado Today December 15, 2023.

IdanNews correspondent was at the Abiola Ajimobi central mosque in Oke Ado where the minister observed jumat service before joining other party faithful at the APC secretariat to announce his return to the APC.

Recall that Adebayo Adelabu left the APC with his supporters to the Accord to actualize his gubernatorial ambition in the 2023 governorship election.

Adelabu announced his intention to return to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on the 6th of December 2023.

Adelabu resigned from the APC and defected to the Accord Party in May 2022 following his failure to secure the party’s ticket for the Oyo state governorship election.

In a letter dated December 6 and addressed to the Oyo APC chairman, Adelabu said his decision to return to the party followed consultations with APC national leaders and executives.

He added that he would officially announce his return to the APC at a ceremony slated for December 15 at the party secretariat in the Oke-Ado area of the state.
