The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Saturday said it is currently investigating the report of alleged pre-filled result sheets by its officials in the Kogi ongoing governorship election.
Recall that an alleged pre-filled result sheet photo and video of a Presiding Officer caught with the pre-filled result sheets had been circulated on social media platforms.
However, one of the accredited observers from YIAGA Africa raised the alarm about the proliferation of the pre-filled result sheet in PU 020, Eika/Ohizenyi, Okehi LGA of the State.
YIAGA Africa also claimed the same development was witnessed in PU 004, Eni Ward of Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area.

Also, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate in the Kogi ongoing election, Sen. Dino Melaye, has raised an alarm that all the result sheets have been filled.
Melaye called on his agents and voters in the state to reject the anomaly and protest until the “compromised” INEC officials showed them a plain result sheet.
Meanwhile, INEC in its response to the alleged circulated pre-filled result sheet in a tweet via its official X account said “Our attention has been drawn to a report that filled result sheets were discovered in some polling units in Kogi State.
“The Commission views this situation seriously.
“Our senior officials deployed to the State are currently investigating the incident(s). The Commission will communicate its decision earnestly,” it wrote.
